The EPA & the new RRP (Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule)
The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) adopted this law on April 22, 2010. This law is for the protection of young children and pregnant women.
There are many people who do not know about the effects of Lead paint and the new rules that have to be followed for any house built before 1978. This law requires extra dust protection not only for you the customer, but also for the workers and their families. Contractors can be fined as much as $37,500.00 per day per offense.
